“Where the real world changes into simple images, the simple images become real begins and effective motivations of hypnotic behavior.”

In Skreber's exhibition titled “Gözlemleme” which means the act of observing in Turkish, the artist who mostly aestheticizes the shocking changes resulting from collapse, disaster, political and social movemnets and restructures the deformed and the beautiful through their juxtaposition or intertwining, continues to interpret popular images. In the exhibition, we see his woman portraits which he crates using foam tape and by removing some of the material over the tape “ugly” he draws attention to the fact that it does not look settled on the portraits and the fact that time will wear the material out brings out the purpose even more. along with these portraits, in this selection we see architectural structures like a house or a swmming pool, observed from unusual perspectives and patched pnto abstract scenes.
