Ayşe Erkmen at the Yorkshire Sculpture International

Yorkshire, the native city of pioneering sculptors such as Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore, with a rich history, is preparing to host the first edition of the Yorkshire Sculpture International with the collaboration of art galleries. British artist Phyllida Barlow designed the festival based on the idea that “sculpture is the most anthropologic form of art.” Ayşe Erkmen, known with her site-specific works, also participates in the festival with an installation she conceived in response to a historical building in down-town Leeds. The festival can be visited on June 22–September 29.
