Nasan Tur at the Felix-Nussbaum-Haus

Felix-Nussbaum-Haus, Osnabrück hosts a year-long solo exhibition of Nasan Tur opening on December 13. In the second exhibition of the series Gegenwärtig, Tur meets the life and work of the painter Felix Nussbaum. It is not only his biography that touches Nussbaum’s common life stages; the same themes—power structures, flight, exile, or questions of identity—also drive them to create. Tur sees it as his responsibility to make use of the freedom of art enshrined in fundamental rights and to use it as a critical voice for society and politics. With a lot of empathy, sensitivity, and flair, he takes a look at human behavior patterns or political rhetoric, traces social wounds in his art, and reveals dreamed utopias. The exhibition is on view through November 15, 2020.
