Hayal Pozantı’s permanent installation at New York Public Library

New York Public Library’s central circulating library, formerly named the Mid-Manhattan Library, has been renovated and opened its doors in June. Designed by architecture companies Mecanoo and Beyer Blinder Belle, the building is renamed to The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library. A permanent installation of Hayal Pozantı is featured on the ceiling of the “Long Room.” The work composed of the alphabet of Pozantı’s own creation, Instant Paradise, refers to the historical development of writing.
