Jorinde Voigt (b. 1977, Frankfurt am Main) studied philosophy and modern German literature at the University of Göttingen and having graduated 1998, she moved to Berlin to study sociology, philosophy, and comparative literature at the Freie University. From 1999 to 2003 she studied at the Berlin University of Arts in the multimedia department. In 2004, she completed her dissertation in fine arts and photography. Her works have been exhibited in art institutions including Kunsthalle Nürnberg; Hamburger Bahnhof-Museum für Gegenwart; Kunsthalle Krems; Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Rome, and Langen Foundation; and she has works in various public and private collections such as Art Institute of Chicago; Centre Pompidou; Kunsthaus Zürich; Morgan Library & Museum; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Pinakothek der Moderne; Staatliche Graphische Sammlung, and Kupferstichkabinett.
