Rüstem Kasapoğlu

Rüstem Kasapoğlu graduated from the Naval Academy in 2003 and pursued a military career at the Turkish Armed Forces until 2014 when he left the Army to focus on his artistic works. In his paintings, Kasapoğlu focuses on form and figure reflecting intimate inner worlds of people he depicts. Kasapoğlu works with oil paint only and has been associated with the oil-based hyperrealistic and photorealistic painting styles, capturing most private moments of the people he paints.

 

Rüstem Kasapoğlu (b.1983, Kardzhali) has exhibited including solo exhibitions at Counting Days, Living Soldier Painters Exhibition (2001); Narlıdere Municipality National Painting Contest, Mention and exposition (2007); Living Soldier Painters Exhibition (2008); Gallery Artist Çukurcuma, İstanbul (2011); Artbosphorus Modern Art Fair, Galeri Artist Çukurcuma, İstanbul (2012); Contemporary Istanbul Solo Show, Gallery Artist Çukurcuma (2012); Contemporary Istanbul, Kare Art Gallery (2013). Work by the artist held in the public collections. Kasapoğlu lives and works in Istanbul, Turkey.
