Hayal Pozantı’s artistic practice explores the relationship between perception, communication, and reality through a distinctive visual universe developed at the intersection of abstraction, language and visual systems. During the early stages of her practice, Pozantı developed a personal visual alphabet composed of distinctive signs and symbolic forms, transforming language into an abstract structure while questioning the processes of communication, representation and meaning-making. In her current practice, this visual language is reconfigured through a more organic and intuitive approach to painting, evolving into biomorphic forms, imagined landscapes and pictorial worlds constructed through vibrant, jewel-toned layers of colour. Working across painting, drawing, and digital media, Pozantı brings together systematic inquiry and intuitive experimentation to redefine the boundaries between language, nature and perception, constructing ever-evolving visual worlds with their own internal logic.
