Güçlü Öztekin is known for his large-scale works created with materials such as styrofoam, kraft paper. He uses materials that are within his reach as an act of recycling. According to him, an artwork is in its crude form until being exhibited; in order to acquire its full effect at an exhibition, the work must be reprocessed. Öztekin is a member of an artist collective HA ZA VU ZU, founded in 2005.
