Seçkin Pirim’s spontaneous forms, created in a neominimalist style through diverse materials, encapsulate his reconnection with his self and humanity’s quest for self-realisation through social networks. His intricate, multilayered works, driven by a concept of inner movement, feature repetitive forms. Pirim captures these forms within the expansive, flat surfaces of materials such as plexiglass, paper, marble, and aluminium. Drawing inspiration from Rumi’s philosophy of ‘from one to whole,’ his art is rooted in existential themes and personal struggles. His recent works symbolise spiritual and bodily purification, marking a journey back to one’s core. In response to today’s chaotic and complex existence, he challenges his boundaries and seeks answers to questions about renewal and transformation through gestures of repetition.
