Austin Eddy’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, Galata Sunset, met the audience on 2 October at Dirimart Pera, Istanbul. Bringing together a new body of paintings created in the artist’s Brooklyn studio and inspired by his visit to Istanbul in the summer of 2024, the exhibition reflects Eddy’s engagement with the city’s unique texture and light. Drawing inspiration from this, Eddy employs a colour-driven, open-ended narrative approach that captures the poetry of everyday life through the interplay of figurative and abstract forms. Galata Sunset will be on view at Dirimart Pera until 2 November 2025.
