Ghada Amer participates in ENGAGÉES at the Villa Datris Foundation, on view from 17 May to 2 November 2025. Curated by Danièle Marcovici and Stéphane Baumet, the exhibition brings together sixty-four international artists confronting urgent contemporary issues, including feminism, ecofeminism, anti-racism, bodily autonomy, and human rights. The exhibition draws attention to recognising the visibility and voices of women artists who have long been overlooked in patriarchal societies and emphasises the enduring struggles for equality and justice. ENGAGÉES aims to celebrate past achievements while also drawing attention to the ongoing battles that have yet to be won. Through works that are socially and politically engaged, the exhibition highlights art’s potential as a tool for resistance and awareness.
