Shirin Neshat is featured in Born of Fire, a solo exhibition at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York, on view from 20 April to 1 September 2025. Curated by Corinne Erni, with associate curator Scout Hutchinson, this marks Neshat’s first museum exhibition in the New York area in over two decades. The exhibition presents a non-linear survey of the artist’s practice through four major bodies of work: Women of Allah (1993–97), The Book of Kings (2012), Land of Dreams (2019), and The Fury (2022–23). Together, these works explore themes of female empowerment, political resistance, displacement, and cultural identity, drawing on Neshat’s personal experience as an Iranian artist living in exile.
