Tomokazu Matsuyama’s latest public art project, Our Way Bloom, was installed as a vibrant mural at the Edgewater branch of the Chicago Public Library. Created in partnership with the Chicago Public Art Group and commissioned by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), the mural reflects Edgewater’s diverse community and the unity of various cultures blossoming together. Representing a bicultural society, the artwork, the official unveiling date of which will be announced in 2025, links Edgewater’s historical roots with its vision for the future, celebrating unity and public art’s power to promote inclusivity.
