Karin Kneffel is featured in the group exhibition Frozen Mirrors at KAI 10 | Arthena Foundation, Düsseldorf, from 31 October 2024 to 26 April 2025. Curated by Ludwig Seyfarth, the exhibition explores the concept of ‘frozen time’ through photorealistic paintings, life-sized artefacts, and still-life-inspired scenes that blur reality and illusion. Frozen Mirrors draws on Umberto Eco’s idea of the photograph as a ‘freezing mirror’, presenting works that challenge the viewer’s perception of temporality in today’s image-saturated world.
