Çiğdem Aky is among the participating artists in the 15th edition of the OSTRALE Biennale O25, taking place from 7 June to 5 October 2025, at the robotron-Kantine in Dresden, as well as at additional venues throughout the city. Titled NEVER GREY, the biennial explores colour as a catalyst for perception, identity, and social discourse, proposing it as both a symbolic and material force across diverse fields, including science, spirituality, and politics. From global crises to rising social polarisation, the exhibition highlights colour’s capacity to evoke emotion, foster dialogue, and open pathways toward collective understanding. Curated by Evelyn Drewes, Drorit Gur Arie, and Dr Veronika Krülle Kotoucova, the biennial features a wide range of practices and positions that invite audiences to reflect on the role of art as a transformative and communicative force in our complex times.
