The International Center of Photography (ICP) presents the 2024 Infinity Awards on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary, a celebration that honours remarkable achievements in photography and visual arts. Shirin Neshat is honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising her impact on the artistic medium. Neshat continues to experiment with the mediums of photography, video, and film, infusing her works with layers of poetic and politically charged imagery and narratives. Her work questions the issues of power, religion, race, and gender, as well as the relationship between the past and present, East and West, individual and collective, reflecting her personal journey as an Iranian woman living in exile.
