Çiğdem Aky's Light Breeze, included in the museum collection, is on view in the group exhibition Pretty Accurate at Kunstmuseum Heidenheim in November 19, 2022–February 26, 2023. On the occasion of the exhibition with works by Belgium artist group LAb[au], Kunstmuseum Heidenheim is showing concrete and abstract works from its own collection in its small exhibition hall. The term “Concrete Art”, coined by Theo von Doesburg in 1924, refers to works that are mostly based on mathematical-geometric principles. The focus lies on pure forms, such as squares, circles and lines, with which effects of colour and form are explored. The intention is to enable the public to experience the work sensually without any prior knowledge.
