The Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture hosts Seçkin Pirim’s solo exhibition titled Relics from 31 October 2023 to 29 February 2024. Comprising Pirim’s new sculptures that have emerged as a result of his contemplation of the systematic relationships between architecture, design, sculpture and museology, the exhibition explores the connections between the forms of sculpture production in antiquity and the present day and how we perceive them. It aims to compare our ‘distant’ and ‘safe’ connections with archaeological findings today with the ones we establish with the contemporary sculptures in public spaces.
