Seçkin Pirim at the Theodosius Cistern

Seçkin Pirim is now at the Theodosius Cistern, Istanbul, with his solo exhibition Then and Now. Reinterpreting the monumental forms of the past through rhythmic and layered compositions, the exhibition explores the relationship between architecture, memory and time, inviting visitors to engage with a body of work centred on the architectural practices of ancient cities and historic structures. Pirim’s artistic practice, which brings together sculpture and architecture, as well as past and present, enters into a profound and multi-layered dialogue with the cistern’s 1,500-year-old atmosphere, reflecting on the continuity of collective memory. Then and Now will be on view from 11 June to 31 August 2026.
