Ayşe Erkmen at Hamburger Bahnhof with her permanent installation

Ayşe Erkmen’s no time/no flower was permanently installed on the façade of Hamburger Bahnhof’s historic building on 27 August, marking the museum’s 30th anniversary. Erkmen has maintained a close relationship with Hamburger Bahnhof for more than 20 years and first presented no time/no flower on the building’s façade in 2008, as part of her solo exhibition Weggefährten (Companions). For the museum’s 30th anniversary, the artist has developed a new version of the work, conceived as a gold-coloured sculpture that gleams in the sunlight. The project is curated by Gabriele Knapstein, Deputy Director and Head of Collections at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart.
