Franz Ackermann at KAI 10 I Arthena Foundation

Franz Ackermann is featured in the group exhibition Uncertain Maps, which opened to the public on 27 February 2026 at Arthena Foundation, Düsseldorf and curated by Ludwig Seyfarth and Klaus-Peter Kirchner. The exhibition explores the uncertain nature of cartography and the fluid boundaries between reality and fiction, revealing maps not as objective tools that simply reflects reailty, but as constructions operating within a subjective space between representation and sign, image and language, and ultimately the real and the imaginary. The participating artists develop visual narratives that span both real and fictional geographies, constructing distinct worlds through cartographic structures. The exhibition remains on view until 6 September 2026.
