Cihan Öncü presents his solo exhibition, Still in Motion, at Yapı Kredi Bomontiada from 26 September to 11 October, as part of the 2026 programme and the ninth edition of 212 Photography Istanbul, which brings together different practices around photography through exhibitions, talks, film screenings and workshops, welcoming artists, academics and creative voices from Turkey and around the world to Istanbul. In his photographs, Öncü explores movement through both blurred traces and moments of stillness, examining how the passage of time continues to make itself felt even within a single frame. Focusing on the transitions between motion and stillness, the exhibition reveals the moments in which these two states transform into one another.
