Austin Eddy’s Large Fish is on view in the courtyard of the Consortium Museum in a presentation organised by Eric Troncy. Situated somewhere between a metaphor for the human experience and a literal depiction of a fish, the work portrays a fish in the act of sinking. Eddy leaves it open to interpretation whether the fish is sinking by choice or because of external forces, highlighting a moment of fear that is embraced with ease and describing this acceptance as a form of joy in the face of fear. Large Fish will remain on view through April 2027.
