The renowned director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, who last appeared before cinema audiences in 2023 with the drama film 'On Dry Grass', greeted his fans with a painting exhibition, contrary to their expectations. Last year, Ceylan stated, "Lately I've been reading more books, traveling, and letting my emotions flow. Maybe I won't make any more films, I don't know. I'm focusing more on photography these days," thus proving himself to be true to his word.
Ceylan, who began traveling the world in the 1980s, has been interested in photography since a young age. With an archive containing tens of thousands of photographs from different continents, Ceylan has meticulously curated an exhibition featuring 26 portrait photographs taken between 2008 and 2024, thanks to the contributions of Selen Erkal, Director of Dirimart Gallery, and the moral support of his wife, Ebru Ceylan.
