A multidisciplinary workshop artist: Albert Bitran

Born in Istanbul in 1931 to a family of Sephardic origin, Albert Bitran lived there until his early youth. His life took a different turn when he went to Paris in 1948 to study architecture. Quickly forming connections with other Turkish artists living in Paris, he developed close friendships with figures such as Mübin Orhon, Selim Turan, Avni Arbaş, and Abidin Dino, and soon became an important figure in his circle.
