Çiğdem Aky’s second solo exhibition at Dirimart Pera, Santosha, held from January 8 to February 22, 2026, focused on the formal transformation of the artist’s painting practice. Moving beyond the rectangular forms that had long formed the backbone of her work, Aky allowed colour greater freedom and fluidity of movement. Centred on silence, acceptance, and relinquishing control, the exhibition approached painting not as a vehicle for fixed meanings, but as a space of encounter completed through the viewer’s own experience.
Ali Hıdır Eligüzel speaks with Çiğdem Aky about the artist exhibition's Santosha.
