Anselm Reyle (b. 1970, Tübingen) graduated from Stuttgart and Karlsruhe Academies of Fine Arts. Since 2009, he has been serving as a professor at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg. His selected solo exhibitions include Magic Shine Ray 800, XPM Museum, Changsha (2024); Cosmic Abyss, Dirimart Dolapdere, Istanbul (2023); AN INTIMATE DISTANCE, MAM Mario Mauroer Contemporary Art, Salzburg (2023); Heavy, Dirimart Dolapdere, Istanbul (2022); Mystic Silver, Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Hamburg (2012); Anselm Reyle, Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines (2011); Acid Mother’s Temple, Kunsthalle Tübingen, Tübingen (2009) and ARS NOVA, Kunsthalle Zürich, Zurich (2006). His selected group exhibitions include Im Atelier Liebermann: Jorinde Voigt: Constant Vision, Max Liebermann Haus, Berlin (2024); Dirimart Presents X: Living in Colour, Dirimart Dolapdere, Istanbul (2023); Floating Islands, Istanbul Modern, Istanbul (2023); Painting in Tongues, MOCA – Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (2023); Abstraction(s), Song Museum, Beijing (2019); and Director’s Choice, Arken Museum of Modern Art, Ishoj (2010). The biennales Reyle participated in include the 6th Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale, Suzhou (2023) and the 6th Prague Biennale, Prague (2005). Anselm Reyle lives and works in Berlin.
