Dirimart is proud to announce the participation of Fahrelnissa Zeid in the 60th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale de Venezia, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world.

The artworks of Abidin Elderoğlu and Fahrelnissa Zeid are presented in the permanent collection of the recently opened İşbank Museum of Painting and Sculpture, the building of which has been under restoration since 2000.

Fahrelnissa Zeid’s painting Paléocristalos is currently exhibited at the group exhibition titled In the Heart of Another Country: The Diasporic Imagination Rises held in Sharjah, the most extensive presentation of works from the Sharjah Art Foundation Collection to date following its debut at Deichtorhallen Hamburg in October 2022.

Dirimart is pleased to announce its participation at Frieze Masters in the Spotlight section curated by Camille Morineau (co-founder and Research Director of AWARE – Archives of Women Artists, Research, and Exhibitions) and dedicated to women artists; with an exceptional selection of works by Fahrelnissa Zeid.

Fahrelnissa Zeid’s works are exhibited in the group show titled I-You-They: A Century of Artist Women curated by Deniz Artun at Meşher.

Fahrelnissa Zeid’s The Arena of the Sun (1954) is featured in the group exhibition titled Elles font l’abstraction at Centre Pompidou, Paris running from May 19 to August 23.

Committed to enhancing the dialogue around the artist and conducted by Ceren Erdem, Senior Director, current episodes include conversations with art historian Ömer Faruk Şerifoğlu; Adila Laïdi-Hanieh, Director General of the Palestinian Museum and author of Fahrelnissa Zeid Painter of Inner Worlds (2017); art historian Burcu Pelvanoğlu; and Chris Dercon, dir. Réunion des Musées Nationaux-Grand Palais.

Fahrelnissa Zeid’s work will be exhibited at Musée Soulages, Rodez in the context of Femmes années 50.

The Grey Art Gallery, New York University’s fine arts museum, houses a comprehensive exhibition titled Modernisms: Iranian, Turkish, and Indian Highlights from NYU’s Abby Weed Grey Collection, presenting, for the first time, the prominent collector’s collection of modern Asian and Middle Eastern art in New York combining paintings, sculptures, prints, and drawings she collected during her many travels in the 1960s and early ’70s from Iran, Turkey, and India.

Held at the Cultural Foundation Abu Dhabi, the exhibition Fahrelnissa and the Institutes: Towards a Sky celebrates the abstract work of prominent artists, all women, who pioneered the modern and contemporary art scene in Jordan, anchored by the influence of internationally acclaimed artist Fahrelnissa Zeid.

Curated by Anissa Touati and Marc-Olivier Wahler, the group exhibition held at Dirimart through June 8–July 3 brought together a selection of works by Georgina Gratrix, Özlem Günyol & Mustafa Kunt, Zsófia Keresztes, Güçlü Öztekin, Ugo Rondinone, and Fahrelnissa Zeid.
