Dirimart announces the third solo exhibition titled MOTUS by photographer Cihan Öncü, which explores the essence of movement. Opening on 8 February at Dirimart Pera, the exhibition reveals the moments where existence and emotions merge with aesthetics.
Each photograph in the exhibition is based on movement by freezing the moments when energy and emotions reach their peak, showing that stillness is an illusion. Capturing details that transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, Öncü provides a kaleidoscopic experience for viewers, while photographs printed on Hahnemühle Matt FineArt paper transform everyday life into an artistic exploration.
The artist’s recent works in the exhibition offer a unique storytelling that conveys the richness of experiences, adding an emotional dimension to the experiments on coloured prints. The photographs, proving the allure of movement caught in the moment, carry the characteristics of visual poetry.
MOTUS will meet its visitors at Dirimart Pera from 8 February until 3 March 2024.
