365 Seasons honours each day as distinct and unrepeatable, emphasising the ever-shifting rhythm of time.
ISTANBUL, 16 May 2025 — Dirimart announces 365 Seasons, Jorinde Voigt’s third solo exhibition with the gallery. This exhibition marks a new chapter in Voigt’s artistic practice, with the debut of her oil paintings produced since 2023. The exhibition also features Voigt’s signature stainless steel sculptures and large-scale paintings alongside her new works.
Internationally renowned for works that transform concepts such as time, space, movement, perception, and science into a unified representational schema drawing on music, philosophy, and phenomenology, Voigt has long created structured compositions using ink, pencil, watercolour, collage, and sculpture. Yet in the 365 Seasons exhibition, Voigt turns her perspective inward, dissolving into the experience and seeking to embody what she paints through oil.
The paintings in the exhibition become vessels of unspoken perception. The colours in these works – whether drawn from the sky, a tree, or the surface of water – are chosen deliberately, yet they arise from Voigt’s surrounding environment. The artist perceives these colours, absorbs them, and transforms them into a new, fluid consistency. They are not designed, but found; received from nature, respected for their givenness, and reinterpreted through the artist’s hand. This process, for Voigt, carries an ethical dimension: to use what is already present, already offered by nature, is a fair and honest way of making.
In a time marked by disconnection and rigidity, 365 Seasons offers a counterpoint: a meditative call for emotional and perceptual fluidity. Through these paintings, Voigt asks how we might learn from water how to return to a state of internal continuity and feel again as part of a flowing whole. This is not merely aesthetic; it is healing.
Inviting the viewer to experience the embodied archive of perception, movement, and presence, Jorinde Voigt’s 365 Seasons can be viewed at Dirimart Dolapdere from 30 May to 29 June 2025.
