Özlem Günyol & Mustafa Kunt will present their new project, Unutulmuş Gün, as part of the İskele Exhibitions organised by Kendine Ait Bir Oda (KABO), a public art initiative located at the Karşıyaka Ferry Terminal in İzmir. On view throughout April and May 2025, Unutulmuş Gün marks a new phase in the artistic duo’s practice, with selected words from the headlines of fourteen different newspapers hand-painted onto an eight-metre canvas each day. Created in collaboration with and with the assistance of fine arts students, the work itself becomes a form of collective production. The completed work will remain displayed at the ferry terminal until the end of May and offer daily commuters and art audiences a moment of reflection.
